PURPOSE:To obtain a backup copy with one copying operation by displaying a document name stored in a character storage means and commanding copying of the displayed document name to the storage means. CONSTITUTION:The document name stored in a floppy disc 18 is displayed on a CRT 8 by the operation of a keyboard 5. The document name and a column designating whether or not the copy of the document is required are displayed on the scope of the CRT 8. The document information is stored in a RAM 15 via a controller 17 at the same time. When a cursor key of the keyboard 5 is operated to command the required copying of the desired document name of the CRT 8, the command is given to the RAM 15 via a microprocessor and to a printer 21 via the controller 22. The document designated by the cursor is read from an RAM 13 by the operation of the execution key of the keyboard 5 and a copy is printed by the printer 21.
