Method and system ensuring the surveillance of goods and/or persons by triggering at least one alarm upon the occurrence of particular events. This method is characterised in that following the detection of a specified event, a central processing unit (Uc) identifies the activated detector(s) (D1, D2) so as to trigger at least one specified alarm device (S, B, L, Q) depending on the detector(s) activated. Moreover, various surveillance means enable the user to be informed of the event causing the alarm. <IMAGE>
