PURPOSE:To obtain a developing soln. maintaining the effect for a long period by adding a macrocyclic polyamine deriv. to a developing soln. so as to inhibit the oxidation or decomposition of the effective components in the soln. by the action of metallic ions, especially iron and copper ions. CONSTITUTION:A developing soln. for a silver halide photographic sensitive material contg. at least one kind of macrocyclic polyamine deriv. is used. The macrocyclic polyamine deriv. is a compound contg. at least three N atoms bonded to each other through two or more C atoms to form a ring. The three N atoms may be bonded directly or indirectly to each other through atoms other than C atoms, e.g., O atoms. A compound represented by the formula is preferably used as the macrocyclic polyamine deriv. |
