PURPOSE:To obtain a fibrous material of ultrafine fibers, by drawing an aqueous solution of a water-soluble resin with a high-speed air stream while spinning the solution, heating the resultant fiber stream and evaporating the moisture in the fibers. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of a water-soluble resin (e.g. pullulan) or a melt plasticized with water is extruded from a raw material feed pipe 1 through a raw material tank 2 and a spinning nozzle 5 by a gear pump 4, and high-pressure air fed from an air nozzle 7 by a multistage blower 6 is blown downward on the resultant fiber stream of the hydrous water-soluble resin, which is heated by a far infrared heater 9 during the falling thereof to evaporate and remove the moisture in the fibers. The resultant drawn and dehydrated fibrous material 12 is entangled and dropped onto a net type collecting belt 11. |
