PURPOSE:To read automatically a drawing in accordance with a color in terms of a reader for reading automatically a line graphic by analyzing the color of an intersection when a line segment is cut and connecting the line when it includes the color of the line segment connecting to the intersection. CONSTITUTION:When the drawing is read in, it is stored in a color memory 9, and a drawing processing part 10 retrieves a drawing image, recognizes line segments having the same color and understands the degree of connection. When lines having different colors intersect each other, the color of the intersection changes and the lines are split into plural parts to cause an end point. If there is a point in different colors, they are analyzed. When the same factor as the line segment causing the end point can be found, the end point is connected.
