PURPOSE:To measure the conductivity without requiring A.C. power source by applying a rectangular wave voltage from D.C. power source through switching means onto a series circuit of measuring electrodes and a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular wave voltage is applied from D.C. power source 2h through a charging switch 2b and a discharging switch 2e onto a series circuit of measuring electrodes 2a and a capacitor 2f. Consequently, charge/ discharge voltage having the charge/discharge interval variable with correspondence to the area of the measuring electrodes 2a, the inter-electrode distance, the resistance corresponding with the conductivity of working liquid 2b and the capacitance of the capacitor is produced across the capacitor 2f. The conductivity of working liquid is detected through detection of the charge/discharge interval. |
