The fodder blocking device for a dairy-cattle fodder manger comprises an elastic skirt strip (9) and a U-profile rail (7) which serves as holder and between the legs (11, 13) of which the longitudinal edge of the skirt strip (9) to be fastened is inserted. A catch device formed by a catch recess (19) and a catch projection (17) prevents the skirt strip (9) being pulled out of the profile rail (7). A distance-compensating strip (21) clamps the skirt strip (9) in the profile rail (7). When the distance-compensating strip (21) is removed, the skirt strip (9) can be installed and removed without problems. The skirt strip (9) bears in a flat manner against the U-profile rail (7) or the distance-compensating strip (21). The catch recess (23) or the catch projection (17) extend in the longitudinal direction over the entire length of the skirt strip (9). <IMAGE>
