METHOD FOR WINDING AND SUPPORTING OPTICAL CABLE AROUND AERIAL WIRE

PURPOSE:To increase the length of one continuous optical cable which can be laid greatly by up to about twice by laying one continuous optical fiber from an intermediate part in two directions. CONSTITUTION:One end side of one continuous optical cable 1 is wound around the 1st drum 21 and the other end side is wound around the 2nd drum 22. Then, those two drums 21 and 22 are placed on a steel tower 4i at the middle point of an aerial transmission line; and the 1st drum 21 is set on a winder 31 fitted to the aerial wire 5 extending from the steel tower 4i in one direction and the 2nd drum 22 is set on a winder 32 fitted to the aerial wire extending from the steel tower 4i in the other direction. Then, the winder 31 is run as shown by an arrow A and the winder 32 is run as shown by an arrow B to wind and lay the optical fiber respectively.
