PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of an image forming device and to eliminate a break of an image by arranging a separating member which separates a manually inserted form where an image is transferred mechanically from an image carrier and also providing a means which switches and displays an original setting position on an original platen. CONSTITUTION:When paper is fed automatically from a paper feed cassette 2, the fed form P is separated only by its own weight because a photosensitive body 20 is small-sized, but when a form P' is fed by manual insertion through a manual insertion paper feed table 15, the form P' is pressed against a fixed manual insertion guide 85a without fail and then set. Consequently, the form is separated securely by a separation tape 217. Further, an indication plate 21 which switches and displays the original setting position corresponding to a deviation between form supply routes in manual insertion paper feeding mode and cassette paper feeding mode is provided on the original platen 4. Therefore, even when the form is set by being pressed against the guide 85a, there is no break of an image in the manual insertion paper feeding mode and images are formed excellently.
