PURPOSE:To manufacture electroformed mold having ultrahigh precision inexpensively at a short time, by joining an electrocast metal layer composing cavity part of mold and a packing metal member positioned at the rear surface of the metal layer with a plated metal layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrocast metal layer 11 selected from copper, iron, Ni, Ni-Co alloy, Ni-iron alloy, Ni-P alloy is formed by about 0.2-5mm thickness, on a male master pattern 10 made of brass by electrocasting method. An upper part 110 of the layer 11 is machined smoothly, and a notch part 111 is provided along the circumferential rim. Next, the packing metal member 12 made of steel is arranged to the surface 110 concentrically with the pattern 10, and a notch part 121 is provided to the circumferential rim. Ni or Ni alloy is plated by a suitable thickness to band shaped space composed by the parts 111, 121 to form the plated metal layer 13 and original form of metal mold is prepd. The form is cut to a desired shape and separated from the pattern 10, to obtain electroformed mold.
