PURPOSE:To make it possible to finely control the temp. of a resistor with the elapse of printing, by providing a memory circuit for preliminarily storing the data classified by a printing condition corresponding to power to be supplied to a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:Supply power control data 5a for a bar code, supply power control data 5b for a usual character, supply power data 5c for a bar code and supply power data 5d for a usual character corresponding to the power to be supplied to a thermal head 14 are successively stored in the predetermined addresses of a supply power data memory part 5. The operation process of the whole of the apparatus is stored in a program memory part 3 and CPUl controls the whole operations according to the operation process. Therefore, the temp. of the heat generating resistor possessed by the thermal head 14 can be finely controlled with the elapse of printing corresponding to the content of printing information and exact and sharp printing can be always performed.
