PURPOSE:To prevent a grinding element from getting dull, increase the retaining force for abrasive grains; at the time of processing a comparatively soft metal and eliminate generation of scratches by binding the abrasive grains by a flexible resin with no porosity. CONSTITUTION:Abrasive grains 10 made of a material of silicon carbide type are bound together using a flexible resin with no porosity such as flexible epoxy resin. Here, the hardness of the flexible resin shall range between 5 - 60 according to JIS C scale, the tensile rupture elongation between 5 - 100%, and the tensile strength between 5 - 70kgf/cm<2> in order to provide satis factory retaining force for abrasive grains 10 when a comparatively soft metal is to be ground, such as aluminum alloy.
