A reusable injection catheter (100) for use with a medication delivery system (29) comprises a flexible conduit (101) having a fluid path (102) therethrough, a first cannula (104) at the distal end (103) of the conduit for insertion into the patient, a connector housing (107) at the proximal end (113) of the conduit (101) having a passageway (109) therethrough, and a second cannula (105) extending from the housing (107) and in fluid communication therewith. An embodiment of the present invention includes a resilient sleeve (110) covering the second cannula (105) to prevent fluid passage therethrough. This sleeve (110) is adapted to be pierced by the second cannula (105) upon the application of force to the sleeve, thus allowing fluid flow through the second cannula, (105) and further adapted to return to its initial position upon termination of the force.
