PURPOSE:To reduce the use amount of a catalyst, by guiding a part of exhaust gas to a denitration reactor so as to minimize the use amount of the catalyst corresponding to a required denitration ratio and allowing the remainder of the exhaust gas to bypass the denitration reactor to mix the same with the treated gas in the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:A part of the exhaust gas from a boiler 3 is guided to a flue 11 equipped with a denitration reactor 5 through a flue 4 while the remainer is guided to a flue 12 equipped with a damper 9 from a bypass duct 8. The distribution of the flow amounts of gases passing through both flues is determined by regulating the damper so as to minimize the use amount of a catalyst corresponding to a required denitration ratio. The gases passed through both flues are joined together in the flue 6 in the downstream side of the denitration reactor to be diffused to the open air from a flared stack 7. |
