PURPOSE:To lessen machining time for a fixed cutter by forming a V-groove continuously on a steel strip for its bend cutting and applying notches at a position equivalently off the cutting part edge to horn width. CONSTITUTION:A V-groove 2d is formed on one side of a steel strip 2a as a material for a horned steel for a fixed cutter approximately in parallel with the larger side 2b thereof, and notches 2f are provided on the same side, extending from the side 2b to the V-groove 2d approximately at right angles with the said 2b. With the application of the notches 2f, the steel strip 2a is cut into one or two pieces, and thereafter cut by bending along the V-groove 2d, with a projection 2g or a horn left in place as a cutter guide 10. The cut part is polish finished to form a face for a cutter. Consequently, machining time for the fixed cutter 2, among the machining process for a roll paper cutter, can be lessened. |
