PURPOSE:To enable thermal energy in a heat-accumulating layer to be taken off at high efficiency, by a construction wherein an evaporating part provided at the lower end of a thermosiphon covered by a heat insulator on its part penetrating through a heat-insulating layer and a surface layer is located in a heat-accumulating tank. CONSTITUTION:The evaporating part 4a provided at the lower end of the L- shaped thermosiphn 4 is provided with fins 5, is placed in the heat-accumulating layer 1, and a condensing part 4b provided at the upper end is protruded above a surface layer of a pond. The thermosiphn 4 is provided with a heat-insulating coating 6 at its part penetrating through the heat-insulating layer 2 and the surface layer 3. A fluid contained in the evaporating part 4a is vaporized by thermal energy in the layer 1, and the resultant vapor flows into the condensing part 4b to release the latent heat, which is transferred to a heat-exchanging medium by a heat exchanger 7, and is transported to a desired position. Accordingly, since the thermal energy of the fluid in the layer 1 can be taken out without extracting the fluid, convection is not generated in the layer 1, and the concentration gradient in the layer 2 is hardly broken. |
