<p>In an apparatus for preparing food, particularly frying, there is included a griddle (2) and a heat source (3) for heating the griddle. The griddle (2) is of a material of the compound type, with an upper layer (7) of corrosion-resistant material, and a lower layer (8) of a material with better heat conductivity than the material in the upper layer. In accordance with an advantageous combination of material, the upper layer (7) is of stainless steel, while the lower layer (8) is of aluminium. A good rigidity is obtained, if the lower layer (8) is many times thicker than the upper layer (7).</p> |
