PURPOSE:To perform a turnabout at a levee edge or the like in an easy manner, by installing a locking mechanism, which locks the differential motion of a differential gear mechanism, in this differential gear mechanism interlocking a symmetrical pair of wheels under power. CONSTITUTION:Each axle housing 7 is installed at both sides of a transmission case 5, while a main shaft 10 to be interlocked from a motor through a belt is supported through bearings inside the case 5 together with intermediate shafts 11-13 and the like. A wheel gear 16 of a differential gear mechanism 2 is installed as situated in each inner end part of shafts 15 and 15 supported over the inside of each of housings 7 and 7 through bearings. This mechanism 2 installs an engaging claw 18 in one end of a case 17, and inserts a differential lock arm 19 into an inner part from the case 5, then also installs another engaging claw 20 free of movement toward these shafts 15. With operation of this arm 19, the claw 20 is made into a state of being engaged with the claw 18 at ordinary times whereby differential motion of the mechanism 2 is locked. In addition, with engagement release, these shafts 15 and 15 at both sides come into a state of being differentially rotated so that a turnabout is ever so easy. |
