PURPOSE:To eliminate cumbersome operation by detecting whether there is a recording form at an intermediate storage part when a power source is turned on and discharging it automatically when so. CONSTITUTION:A form from a supply part 1 is copied and a formed image is fixed by a fixing device 3. When a double face copy is taken, the form is passed through a path 5 and turned over by the guide plate of an inverting mechanism 7, the form is discharged backward by a roller 21 and stored in an intermediate tray 8 temporarily, and further the form is passed through a relay path 10 to enter reverse-surface copying operation. If the power source is turned off in the middle owing to a fault, etc., and photodetection parts 34 and 35 detect the presence of the form on the tray 8 when the power source is turned on again, a roller 28 moves down to discharge the form to the relay path 10 by its rotation. Thus, the form at the intermediate storage part 8 is discharged automatically when the power source is turned on to eliminate troubles in operation. |
