PURPOSE:To attain the control of penetration of a magnetic disk containing a pair of magnetic cores holding the disk, by providing a control member to either one of a carriage and an opening closing arm to control the approximate position of the arm to the carriage with contact secured with the other one. CONSTITUTION:A control screw 30 is screwed into the side of a magnetic head 13 via an attachment part 15 and the head part of the screw 30 touches the rear side of an opening closing arm 20. The screwing degree of the screw 30 to the carriage 11 is controlled for control of the most approximate position of the arm 20 for the carriage 11. The head 13 when assembled is projected by a distance l from an ideal contact plane B between a floppy disk F and a magnetic head 24. When the arm 20 is closed to the head 13 by the force of a load spring 26, the disk F is pressed and bent by the head 24 and the head 13 moves down. Then the position of the arm 20 is controlled for the carriage 11 together with the control of the screwed position of the screw 30 so that the head 24 is positioned correctly on the plane B.
