<p>PURPOSE:To remove misture without mixing any fine particles in acetylene, by passing acetylenic gas through the interior of semipermeable hollow fiber membranes of a fluorine-containing copolymer having sulfonic acid groups in the laminar flow state and keeping the exterior of the above-mentioned hollow fiber membranes at a lower pressure than the atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION:Acetylenic gas is passed from an inlet 2 through the interior of semipermeable hollow fiber membranes made of a fluorine-containing copolymer having sulfonic acid groups, preferably containing repeating units expressed by the formula (m is O or 1; n is 2-5) in the laminar flow state and the exterior is sucked from a vacuum suction hole 4 by a vacuum pump, etc., to give a reduced pressure state. Thus, steam is selectively permeated and adjusted to give >=10 ratio (A/B) of the moisture (A) at the inlet 2 to the moisture (B) at the outlet 3. The hollow fiber membranes are preferably treated at 70-200 deg.C while purging nitrogen gas, etc., or under reduced pressure. The use of the heat-treated membranes provides the dehumidification to <=-70 deg.C dew point.</p> |
