PURPOSE:To make possible easy single-touch time setting and to reduce the size of an apparatus by forming a touch sensor part into the dial shape of a timepiece, converting digitally the analog quantity inputted from the touch sensor part and displaying the time. CONSTITUTION:The touch sensor part 15 is formed into the dial shape of the timepiece in a device for setting time such as timer. The touch sensor part 15 is formed of a sensor by an electrode coated with, for example, carbon resistor so that the analog signal corresponding to the time part touched by the user is generated. The analog signal is converted to a digital signal by an analog-to-digital converter and further to which time the signal corresponds is recognized and is decoded to a character code by a digital time generator. The character code is stored into a memory and the device is so arranged that the stored content is displayed on a time display device 14. |
