AIR-FUEL RATIO CONTROLLER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To prevent fuel consumption and exhaust emission from degradation by providing a comparing means for comparing the output of an air fuel ratio sensor with a comparing voltage, a delay means for delay processing the compared result and an air fuel ratio adjusting means for adjusting the air-fuel ratio of an engine. CONSTITUTION:First and second air-fuel ratio sensors for detecting the concentration of specified component in exhaust gas are provided upstream and downstream of a catalyst converter. A delay means delays and processes the compared result of a first comparing means to shift the controlled air-fuel ratio of the output of the first air-fuel ratio sensor from a lean air fuel ratio to the the oretical air-fuel ratio. An air-fuel ratio adjusting means adjusts the air-fuel ratio of an engine. Thus,the fuel consumption and exhaust emission can be prevented from degradation.
