PURPOSE:To make possible that a user can know the cut-off timing of a line by every regulated time unit and to effectively use a communication tariff by informing a communication time to the user displaying the communication time on the scope of a display by every regulated time after the start of the communication. CONSTITUTION:A picture sound processor 4 consists of a line connecting control part 5, a modem part 6, a timepiece counting part 7 and a data process part 8. And with the line connecting part 5 and the modem 6 in an existing picture sound processor, the timepiece counting part 7 which counts the communication time is provided and also, the data process part 8, with proceeding a signal from a key pad 11 and a picture data and a sound data from the line, proceeds data from the timepiece counting part 7 to display the communication time. The timepiece counting part 7 consists of two timers; a timer 15 which counts every 2min and 30sec and every 3min and 5sec-timer 16 which counts every 5sec and the timers 15 and 16 and the data process part 8 are connected with an interrupt request line 17.
