PURPOSE:A gelatinous hairdressing, obtained by incorporating a vinylphyr rolidone polymer with a water-soluble carboxyvinyl polymer, basic substance, water-soluble alcohol, oily substance and water, having improved holding effect on hairdressing, and capable of giving natural finish with little stickiness. CONSTITUTION:A gelatinous hairdressing obtained by incorporating 0.5-20wt% vinylpyrrolidone polymer, e.g. polyvinylpyrrolidone, with 0.1-5.0wt% water-soluble carboxyvinyl polymer, 0.01-5.0wt% basic substance, e.g. alkanolamine or ammonia, 0.3-60wt% water-soluble alcohol, e.g. methanol or glycerol, 0.5-30wt% oily substance, e.g. castor oil or lanolin and 20-98.5wt% water. EFFECT:The hairdressing is well washed off even when it sticks to hands.
