<p>PURPOSE:To add the torque produced from revolutions of each flywheel through transmission gears and to secure a large torque with a flywheel small in diameter, by providing a capstan to drive a tape forward or reverse at a fixed speed for direct drive of the flywheel. CONSTITUTION:A tape is driven forward or reverse at a fixed speed by flywheels 1 and 2 having capstans 3 and 4 of a drive device. The magnets 5 and 6 where N and S poles are alternately magnetized are provided to the wheels 1 and 2. Then the drive forces are produced at the magnets 5 and 6 in the directions opposite to each other by drive coils 10a-11a. Then drive gears 12 and 13 are attached to the rotary shafts of capstans 3 and 4 of the wheels 1 and 2 and coupled to transmission gears 14 and 15. The torques produced from revolutions of both wheels 1 and 2 are added together by gears 14 and 15. Thus a large torque is obtained from small wheels 1 and 2.</p> |
