PURPOSE:To attain switching connection of important lines by connecting n-set of active transmission lines and one standby transmission line to (n+1)-set of output terminals of nX(n+1) sets of matrix switches to use the standby transmission line and the active transmission lines not important. CONSTITUTION:The active transmission line is connected respectively to the output terminals 3-1-3-n and the standby transmission line is connected to the output terminal 3-(n+1). A matrix switch 4 connects optional input terminals and optional output terminals in combination. Thus, even when a fault takes place in plural transmission lines in the active transmission lines connected to the output terminals of the matrix switch 4, the one is relieved by being connected switchingly to the standby transmission line and the other are relieved by being connected to the active transmission lines used for communication with less importance. Up to faults for maximum n/2+1 active transmission lines are relieved. |
