PURPOSE:To attain a compact and thin design of a multidisk player by keeping the main surface of a pressure member in parallel to the disk holding surface of a turntable only when an oscillating member is kept at a non-clamping position. CONSTITUTION:A pressure member 66 clamps a disk 10 in cooperation with a turntable 35 when a mechanism which clamps the disk 10 set on the table 35 has a contact with the disk 10 to be played through its face opposite to the table 35. The shift mechanism of the member 66 supports rotatably the member 66 and loads and unloads it to and from the table 35. This shift mechanism contains a plate type supporter 65, a member 65 which oscillates between the clamping and non-clamping position within a surface approximately vertical to the disk holding surface together with its linear free end part attached to an end of the supporter 65, a linear lever 68 set between the member 65 and the supporter 65 and a spring 72 which energizes the lever 68 so that it is set in parallel to the member 64. Then the linear free end part of the member 65 is set in parallel to the disk holding surface at the non-clamping position.
