<p>PURPOSE:To scale down a player and to simplify its constitution by shifting the 2nd spindle motor by means of the turnable shift changing the direction of the rotating central spindle of the 2nd spindle motor. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd spindle motor 19 rotating a compact disk 18 is installed on a base member 10 and can move freely between the 1st position as shown by full line and the 2nd position as shown by an alternate long and two short dash line. The motor 19 is moved by the turnable shift changing the direction of the rotating central shaft of the 2nd spindle motor. The 2nd position is downward the plane including the disk carrier surface 13a of the 1st spindle motor 13 at the side of the moving locus of a carriage 15 and no mechanism is present at the 2nd position. Thus a dead space can be effectively used whereby the overall disk player can be scaled down especially in the direction of an arrow Z as well as its thinning.</p> |
