PURPOSE:To continuously feed a new and an old band form slip paper which are connected to each other, by feeding a seam of new and old slip papers in a skipping manner by a printer disposed in a feeding passage of a feeder. CONSTITUTION:Paper run-out sensors S2, S3 are provided respectively on the downstream of a receipt take-out roller 20 and a journal take-out roller 22 to detect the run-out of a receipt 11 and that of a journal 12, respectively. Feeding of the journal 12 is momentarily stopped, the leading edge of a new journal is jointed to the trailing edge of the old journal, and the journals are connected to each other in a continuous band form by a seaming tape T. In the case of the receipt 11, connection is conducted in a similar manner. Tape sensors S4, S5 are provided respectively on the upstream of a dot printer 15 to detect that seam parts of the receipt 11 and that of the journal 12 are fed to the upstream of the printer 15, respectively. The part of the seaming tape T is skippingly fed swiftly in the feeding direction at a printing position where a printing head 26 is opposed to a platen 27, and the tape part is set into a non-printing region, thereby feeding the receipt and the journal. |
