PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the reliability of the function of an industrial robot for taking a molten metal in a crucible into a ladle and casting the same by attaching an arm for driving the ladle and a driving mechanism thereof to a position apart from the ladle and blowing air thereto to cool the same. CONSTITUTION:The industrial robot 2 which takes the molten metal 13 in the crucible 1 into the ladle 5 and casts the same into the casting mold 14 is attached with the 1st arm 7 for horizontal rotation, the 2nd arm 8 having a link 8a at the top end thereof and a tilting arm 10a having a link 10b. The ladle 5 is tilted in the molten metal 13 by the operation of both links 8a, 10b to put the molten metal into the ladle. The ladle is returned to the horizontal position and is taken out of the crucible 1. After the ladle is horizontally moved over the mold 4, the ladle 5 is tilted to cast the molten metal into the mold 4. The 2nd arm 8, the driving device 9 thereof and the driving device 10 for tilting the ladle are cooled by the cooling air blown from a supply opening 12 of a cooling air pipe 11 in the direction opposite from the ladle 5. The sticking of the dust thereto is prevented at the same time by said air. The deterioration in the reliability of the robot's functions is thus prevented.
