PURPOSE:To simplify the device and to increase the forming accuracy by arranging co-axially a body to be worked of cylindrical conductor and the column- shaped conductor and by deforming the body to be worked by passing a big current between the both. CONSTITUTION:A current path is formed via a current source 1 and electrifying switch 2 by arranging co-axially a column-shaped conductor 3 to the body 4 to be worked consisting of cylindrical conductors. A big current is passed to the body 4 to be worked from the conductor 3 by arranging co-axially the conductor 3 and the body 4 to be worked inside a forming die 5. In this case the electromagnetic force F in radial direction is operated on the body 4 to be worked by the magnetic field generated between the conductor 3 and the body 4 to be worked. By this force F, the body 4 to be worked is deformed with abutting the forming die 5 to be subjected to a forming. The device is extremely simplified with this method and further the forming accuracy is increased due to a big current being easily obtainable by using a step-down transformer.
