PURPOSE:To improve recording/reproduction efficiency by making an easy magnetization axis of a thickly formed layer of a main magnetic pole film perpendicular to the track axis direction. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole 1 being the 1st high permeability magnetic film and the 2nd high permeability magnetic film 2 formed thickly to concentrate magnetic flux to the main magnetic pole 1 are provided and the easy magnetization axis 21 of the 2nd high permeability magnetic film 2 is selected to have an angle of 90 deg.+ or -20 deg. in the track width direction 3. Thus, the permeability participating in a recording and reproducing voltage is increased substantially so as to improve the recording and reproducing efficiency. It is desired to make the easy magnetization axis 21 of the 2nd high permeability magnetic film 2 perpendicular in the track width direction, but sufficient effect is given when the angle is within a range of 90 deg.+ or -20 deg.. |
