PURPOSE:To make it possible to change over required devices while both human hands are left to be put on a steering wheel, by recognizing a change-over instructing motion mixed in steering control motion in accordance with detection signals indicating, for example, the angular rate of a steering shaft, and by changing over the required devices with the use of an actuator. CONSTITUTION:A change-over instruction signal indicated by that a reciprocating handle 23 is swingingly rotated by one or two times to both sides with an angle, for example, within a play range (2-3 deg.), for changing over from a two-wheel drive mode into a four-wheel drive mode, is previously stored in a change-over signal reference value setting circuit in a judgment means 31 within a microcomputer. Further, when the vehicle comes to an inclined road, etc. during running on a bad road at a high speed, so that the change-over from the two-wheel drive mode into the four-wheel drive mode is required, the handle 23 is swung to the right and left in the above-mentioned predetermined manner. This motion is detected by a detecting means 29 and is taken out as the change-over instruction signal by a judging means 31. Thereafter, a solenoid coil 25 is energized through an amplifier 37 for an actuator, and thereby a transfer 5 is changed over into the four-wheel drive mode. |
