POWER SUPPLY DEVICE FOR ARC WELDING

PURPOSE:To prevent the supply of the excessive current which is the cause for generation of spatters to a weld zone by turning off a welding output control element for the specified time when the wire short circuit transfers to arc generation. CONSTITUTION:A short circuit and arc detecting circuit 11 outputs the signal which changes a voltage value in the wire short circuit stage and the arc generation stage. An arc generation one shot circuit 12 outputs the one shot signal having width (to) with rise of part of the above-mentioned as a start point. A welding output control circuit 13 outputs the compared for off (to) the welding output control element 4 during the time limit of the width (to) upon receipt of said one shot pulse signal. The energy stored in a welding reactor 5 is discharged via a diode 6 for regeneration during the time of (to) and therefore the welding work is not annihilated and is maintained.
