PRODUCTION OF MAGNETIC HEAD ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To facilitate a molding operation and to reduce molding time by coating a magnetic head element with an acetal compd. and mercapto compd. or a mixture composed of such compd. and acrylate compd. and curing the coating then forming an org. lubricative film on the part which comes into contact with a tape. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head element is coated with the compd. having at least 2 unsatd. cycloacetal groups in one molecule and the compd. having at least two mercapto groups in one molecule or the mixture composed of these compds. and multifunctional (meth)acrylate compd. and after the coating is cured, the org. lubricative film is formed on the part which contacts with the tape. The magnetic head element is thereby easily produced in a relatively short period. The adhesiveness between the element and the cured matter is excellent and the resistance to heat and moisture is good as well. The magnetic head element which is free from deterioration is thus obtd. at good yield.
