PURPOSE:To make it possible to apply soot blow only to a contaminated area, by connecting the pipes constituting a boiler firing furnace by a plate and providing a thermocouple for detecting contamination to the back side of the plate. CONSTITUTION:A sensor seat (metal plate) 3 is attached to the pipes constituting a boiler firing furnace so as to straddle the line of the pipes and thermocouples 4a, 4b, 4c for detecting contamination are attached to the back side of the sensor seat 3. In this constitution, when the firing furnace is not contaminated, there is difference between the temp. thetaa at the central part and the temp. thetac at the pipe part but, as dust 8 is adhered, heat resistance is generated and the flow of heat becomes inferior to reduce temp. difference. Therefore, by measuring the temps. of the thermocouples 4a-4c, the amount of dust adhered to a surface can be detected in the form of the temp. difference of heat resistance. Because of this, soot blow is controlled so as to be applied only to a contaminated area to make it possible to attain to conserve the amount of steam. |
