摘要 PURPOSE:To attain to enhance the detection accuracy of knocking, by constituting the titled apparatus so as to alter the reference value of knocking frequency for performing the judgement of knocking corresponding to the number of rotations of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:When knocking was detected, KCC 10 reads the number Ne of rotations of an engine stored in RAM of ECU 20 through an input/output port 10f and subsequently calculates knocking intensity from a map on the basis of the number nk of counted knocking signals and the number Ne of rotations of the engine. Herein, the map respectively sets first - fourth knocking judge standards of the basis of the number nk of the knocking signals and the number Ne of rotations of the engine set as both coordinates and preliminarily stored in ROM 10b of KCC 10. On the basis of these standards, no knocking, knocking small, knocking medium and knocking large are judged to calculate knocking intensity. By this method, the detection accuracy of knocking is enhanced.
