PURPOSE:To set the segmenting position of an original picture with recognizing visually an original by providing a segmenting position indicating means which indicates the segmentation range of the picture on the original picture at a part where the original is placed. CONSTITUTION:A marker M1 is provided at the downstream side position where can be recognized visually from the outside of a guide member which guides the lower face of the original. The length of the marker is sized to expose the end part even in the case of setting an original P with maximum size. Also it is a contacting member sliding on a resistance body 31. On the upper surface of said contracting member 32, a marker M2 is provided. As for the setting of the segmenting position of the original picture, the starting position of the segmentation is adjusted by fitting the segmenting start requested position of the original picture with the marker M1 using a carrier button 26 and the finishing position of the segmentation is, after the above setting, adjusted by moving the contacting member 32 to the segmenting finish requested position of the original picture and fitting it with the marker M2.
