PURPOSE:To facilitate the detection of the frictional resistance between a ring and a traveler, by detecting the tension acted on a yarn by the friction resistance acting between the ring and the traveler by a detection apparatus and converting said tension to an electric signal to record the same on an oscillograph. CONSTITUTION:A ring 2 is apt to rotate to the rotary direction of a traveler by the frictional resistance between the ring 2 and the traveler and tension is applied to a yarn 5 by this rotary force. In a tension detection apparatus constituted of guide rollers 8, 8 and a detection roller 9, the detection roller 9 is moved up and down by the variation in the tension applied to the yarn 5 and the variation quantity thereof is mechanically taken out and converted to an electric signal to be displayed in a digital system or displayed as an oscillograph. By this method, the frictional resistance between the ring and traveler is easily detected. |
