PURPOSE:To permit the speed change according to the operation conditions by changing the speed change pattern on the basis of the standard acceleration speed of car which is determined according to gear position, engine load and car speed, comparison between a constant speed and the standard acceleration speed, and the variation rate of the engine load. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration-speed setting means 6 sets the standard acceleration-speed of car which is to be obtained on the basis of the gear position detected by a gear-position detecting means 5, car-speed detected by sensors 1 and 2, and the engine load. A comparison means 8 judges the slope of the road surface through the comparison between the standard acceleration speed and the actual acceleration speed calculated by an acceleration-speed calculating means 7. A speed-change pattern varying means 10 changes the speed change pattern according to the slope of the road surface and the variation rate of the engine load calculated by a load variation rate calculating means 9. |
