The invention relates to a vacuum brake booster (1, 1a) with a distance piece (24), arranged so that it is axially displaceable in the bore of the diaphragm piston (7), which distance piece encloses the control piston (16), the reaction device (32) and the thrust piece (33) and fixes their positions in relation to the cover (3) in the basic position by way of distance pins (25) or distance sleeves (41), thereby creating a servo control valve (14) with no response travel, which removes the valve control closing travel whilst retaining the existing constructions. <IMAGE>
