摘要 A telemetry system for an electronic device implanted in a subject includes an implanted transmitter having a switched and tuned inductance circuit (4) connected to a frequency shift keying or PSK modulator for digital data having a shift register (10) receiving the data and a clock (11) and providing the modulated signal at the output of gate (12) and also connected to a frequency or FM modulator for analog data having a multiplexer (21) feeding the data to a voltage-controlled oscillator (20). Externally of the subject's body is the receiver which has a tuned circuit (3) driven by an oscillator (13), an amplitude demodulator (14), a bandpass filter (15) and a binary slicer (16) for providing the encoded information to the PSK decoder (17) providing the digital data at its output and to the FM decoder (27) providing the analog data at its output. Analog information and digital information can be sent simultaneously by using the analog modulated FM signal output of voltage-controlled oscillator (20) as a clock signal to shift digital data through shift register (10).
