PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency by constructing to flow out a current of a switching regulator section to the output of a series regulator section, thereby reducing the loss of the series regulator section. CONSTITUTION:The first and second transistors 1 and 5 form a series regulator section. A choke coil 3, the second transistor 2, a diode 4 and the second capacitor 6 from a switching regulator section. Both are connected with a common input terminal. Since the capacitor 5 is charged by the collector current of the transistor 2 during the ON period of the transistor 2, the current flowed to the transistor 1 is reduced that much to decrease the power loss of the transistor 1, thereby improving the efficiency of the series regulator section. |
