PURPOSE:To enable the separation of cell in high accuracy, by a method having the merits of cell affinity chromatography process and panning process, by using a substance having affinity to a specific cell group or to a marker attached to said cell group and bonding the substance to the surface of a polymer. CONSTITUTION:A substance having affinity to a specific cell group or to a marker attached to said cell group (preferably a substance which does not damage or activate the cell) is bonded to the surface of a polymer containing a basic functional group (preferably a nitrogen-containing functional group or quaternary ammonium group having a pKa of >=4.0, e.g. diethyl-aminoethylstyrene, N,N-diethyl-N-vinylphenetylamine, its oligomer, or polyamine macromer) and the bonded product is used in the separation of cells.
