<p>In the installation, the heating facility (2), the hardening press (4), the tempering facility (6) and the cooling facility (8) are directly connected in series in such a way that the workpieces (10) run through the individual stations at prescribed clock times and without heat loss. The temperature time variation during the individual working steps is controlled by a central control program in accordance with a prescribed program which has been determined by trial-and-error or through calculation. The installation is particularly suited for the assembly-line, fully-automatic thermo-mechanical working of disk springs, especially those which exhibit greater hardness on the free ends of the disks than in their other areas.</p> |
