The invention relates to a table seat for children, i.e. infants, which can be mounted on a table edge or the like (Figure 2). The table seat consists of two frame side parts 1 which are bent in a U-shape, having a foot section 4, a lower frame section 2 and an upper frame section 3. The two frame side parts 1 are connected via a seat surface 17 which consists of one or more profiles 11 which run transversely to the frame side parts 1 and are resistant to twisting, the profiles being connected non-positively to the lower frame sections over their entire width. Furthermore, the two frame side parts are connected to one another by a front and a rear transverse connecting part 10a and 10b. Serving as the back part is a flexible backrest 23 which is arranged in each case between the two central connecting sections 5 of the frame side parts 1. In particular embodiments, the two frame side parts can be collapsed when the seat surface has been removed, or the entire table seat can be folded together with the seat surface 17 so that the frame side parts 1 lie in close contact with one another. Due to the special seat surface 17 or profiling, the table seat proves to be extremely stable and resistant to twisting and is therefore safe. <IMAGE>
