PURPOSE:To diminish the distortion of input current and enable the power-factor to be enhanced and the loss to be diminished, by connecting the LC filter smoothing circuit to the input side of an inverter. CONSTITUTION:An LC filter smoothing circuit 10 is connected to the input side of a transistor inverter 11 receiving the output of a full wave rectification device D and lighting the electric-discharge lamp of a fluorescent lamp or the like. The LC filter smoothing circuit 10 is organized with the LC filter consisting of a condenser 2 and a choke coil 3 connected to an AC power source, condensers 4, 6 connected in parallel with the condenser 2 via diodes 5, 7, and an electric-discharge circuit including diodes 8, 9 connecting the both condensers 4, 6 in series and discharging to the output side of the full wave rectification device D. |
