The device for rapid unlocking of a safety belt for the seat of motor vehicles is formed in such a manner that the person buckled to the seat of the motor vehicle by means of the safety belt can, in a normal case or an emergency situation, without awkward searching for the unlocking button arranged on the safety belt, implement or carry out a rapid unlocking of the safety belt. This takes place by foot actuation of the electric contact strip arranged in the front, lower region of the motor vehicle seat, or by manual actuation of the electric contact button arranged in the vicinity of the ignition lock. Moreover, for rapid unlocking of the safety belt, there is arranged on the frame of the motor vehicle or on the shaft of the safety belt lock a pulling magnet which receives a current pulse on foot actuation of the electric contact strip or by manual actuation of the contact button on the ignition lock. The pulling magnet actuates a slide which is arranged axially movably in the flat housing arranged by means of clamping bows in the safety belt lock. Pulling magnet and slide are connected flexibly by a Bowden cable. In the course of the rapid unlocking of the safety belt, the slide presses on the unlocking button of the safety belt lock, the safety belt being unlocked, released and freed.
