<p>A fuel injection pump having a cam actuation mechanism (3) effecting the pumping action of a pump piston (1), having at least one rotating part (1, 2) which is coupled slip-free in its turning movement with the pump piston (1), and an actuation ring (21) which is rotatable to a suitable degree for altering the start of the pumping action. The rotation of the actuation ring (21) is accomplished by way of an injection variation pin (22) which radially penetrates the actuating ring, and which in turn can be swung by an injection variation piston (23) arranged at a tangent to the actuation ring (21). In order to secure its axial position the injection variation pin (22) cooperates in both axial directions with axial frontal surfaces (41, 43) with which it is fitted, and with support surfaces (24, 45) which are independent from it.</p> |
